Prague as a city and it’s beauty is no less in stature than Rome, Amsterdam, Paris or London. As an aimless wanderer, I found walking around Prague during hot summer days quite challenging but worth it. Prague's maze of cobbled lanes and hidden courtyards is a paradise and the scenic beauty keeps evolving from dusk until dawn. Known for its beer, excellent restaurants, fashionable bars and cafes, the taste of Goulash in some of the restaurants is to die for. The weird and witty sculpture of David Černý punctuates Prague's public spaces. The city itself is filled with stunning architecture, from the soaring verticals of Gothic and the exuberance of baroque to the sensual elegance of art nouveau and cubist facades. Also enjoyed the luscious art nouveau of Alfons Mucha, and the magnificent collection of 20th-century surrealists, cubists and constructivists in the Veletržní Palác.
